The mission of the Homer Glen Emergency Management Agency is to PREPARE our members with the training and proper resources to RESPOND to an emergency or disaster, to assist in RECOVERY efforts following a disaster, and to assist in MITIGATION to help reduce the effects of disaster situations.

The Homer Glen Emergency Management Agency is working to provide the community with an effective and efficient emergency management operation which, when applied, will provide the levels of protection for life and property and the recovery assistance which are essential to the citizens of the community.

The Homer Glen EMA meets the 1st Thursday of the month at 15757 Annico Dr, Unit #3 at 7pm. Anyone interested in emergency management is invited to attend.

Some of the subjects that our members are trained in: CPR, First Aid, Basic Incident Command, Severe Weather Spotting, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Traffic Control, Search and Rescue, Emergency Vehicle Operations, Radio Communications.
